A discussion about the 2^nd Edition of the IEC 61499 standard organised by the Technical University of Vienna - Automation and Control Institute, the PROFACTOR GmbH and by the O³neida network took place at the SPS/IPC/Drives 2009. About 25 persons from industry and research discussed about this very important topic.
