It is a great pleasure for us to announce the feature freeze phase for the upcoming 4DIAC release. For supporting this phase we created named branches in the 4DIAC mercurial repositories. These shall be used for the bug fixing phase towards version 1.1 and also for upcoming bug fix releases. The name of the branch is 1.1.x.

At this year’s ETFA conference (http://www.etfa-2011.org/) the 4DIAC open source initiative was involved in several activities and therefore well represented. Beside it was part of scientific presentations it was also presented at the Industry Day and for sure at the 2nd 4DIAC User’s Workshop.
After more than 2 years of hard work we are proud to announce the release of 4DIAC V1.0. This release is a combined release of all current 4DIAC projects: 4DIAC-IDE, 4DIAC-FBLIB, and FORTE. We provide this release in two parts: 1. the 4DIAC-IDE together with the 4DIAC-LIB for Windows and Linux and 2. FORTE as source package. The major changes and improvements for 4DIAC-IDE are:
